The bench at the top of the page and to the right is the iconic Stormfield Bench.
The bench was named after Stormfield, Mark Twain's estate here in Redding , Connecticut. I thought it fitting that my favorite design should be named, if even indirectly, after Redding's most illustrious citizen.
The Stormfield Bench as pictured is handcrafted from American Black Cherry and Ash. It is just over 6 feet in length and has over 42 handturned elements. The continuous arm is laminated from a number of Cherry strips, each one tenth of an inch in thickness and then hand shaped into it's complex, elegant form.
This bench fits perfectly within any colonial or contemporary decor and makes an incredable statement when displayed alone.
REVIEW:
My favorite review was from a client who after seeing the benches, simply stated:
"These benches are like Thos. Moser on steroids"
I enjoy working closely with clients, architects or builders from the concept stage right up to the completion of a project. its always great to see an idea come to life and visually become an aesthetically beautiful yet functional part of a home,

We specialize in limited production furniture crafted from unique large slabs in a wide range of species. The possibilities are limitless. Fully CAD capable.
After working many years in the boat business primarily in yacht rigging, I've been involved in many interesting architectural rigging and boat related projects.
What else is there to say except that I love boats and homes-both waterfront or not- that incorporate rigging features. Check out the half hull model slide show on the Boats page.

This recently completed table was designed to hold an Aerogarden Farm 24 Plus .
It is made from teak and finished with Danish Oil. The dimensions are 36.25" Length x
14.5" Depth x 16" Height. It is only slightly larger than the footprint of the Aerogarden itself.
The client had been growing with the Aerogarden sitting on the floor and it was awkward having to literally get on the floor to tend her "garden". This offered a nice solution and transformed the Aerogarden into a functional piece of design that can be displayed comfortably anywhere in any home.
The actual photo of the Aerogarden Farm resting on this table I was not happy with, so I think its better to click the Aeerogarden link above and use your imagination to visualize how well they work together.
This segmented bowl is made from maple and walnut. Its dimensions are 14" Diameter x 6" Height.
Each maple segment is separated from the next by the thinnest sliver of purple heart which gives an interesting shimmering effect. The base is walnut.
